Introducing Blend #8, a superior potting mix crafted as a variation of Nectar’s renowned #4 blend. This mix includes the same high-quality ingredients, now enhanced with 50% perlite for improved drainage, making it ideal for daily feeding routines. Carefully mixed in small batches, the coir fiber is meticulously rinsed on-site with pure Oregon rainwater and buffered with limestone to minimize salts, ensuring a balanced environment for your plants.
After the blending and bagging process, the soil is left unwrapped and covered for up to 30 days. This essential step allows the mix to activate, compost, and then go dormant, preventing the soil from becoming overly "hot" and providing an optimal medium for your plants to thrive.
Key ingredients include sphagnum peat moss, coir fiber, pumice, and mycorrhizal fungi, combined with nutrient-rich elements like yucca meal, kelp meal, and bone meal. This pH-adjusted mix also contains diatomaceous earth, clay, basalt, oyster shell, humus, and lime, ensuring your plants receive the perfect balance of nutrients and drainage for vigorous growth.
